New manager anounced

As Antonio Conte is sacked by the Juventus board, they made a suprising decision. Steven Lewis, a 35-year old unknown English manager, was given a chance to prove he has the quality of a high-class manager. Sources say that the Juve fans are not too happy about it as they think Lewis is to inexperienced to manage at a high level. The new Juventus manager was given a deal until June 2013 worth €17.250.

Transfer shocker

Steven Lewis has shocked the Juve fans by transfer listing Eljero Elia. The Dutch winger has just arrived at The Old Lady for 9 million euros. Elia may go for a big sum of 28 million euros. Other players that were transfer listed are Marco Storari, Fabio Grosso, Luca Marrone and Simone Padoin.

Juventus 2-0 Genoa (Serie A)

An efficient performance by Juventus' players saw them confidently overcome a lacklustre Genoa 2-0 at Juventus Stadium. The match was certainly not one for the purists with neither side able to keep the errors out of their game.

Things did not get off to a good start for Genoa as striker Alessandro Matri seized on an error by Luca Antonelli to score a placed shot from close range. Commanding cente-back Giorgio Chiellini finally rounded off their victory on 14 minutes with a fine header from point-blank range.

Experienced goalkeeper Alessio Scarpi then summed up his team's performance by nearly gifting Juventus another goal on 39 minutes.

Injury: Arturo Vidal (24) - Substituted by young Belgian midfielder Dennis Praet, who enjoyed his debut.
